Possible liver damage?

I went to the E.R. because I had a full day of dizziness. They did many tests and they came back normal except they told me that my liver enzymes were elevated, but no concern. The next day there was no dizziness and I was fine, but my primary care manager was concerned about the liver enzyme level. Apparently they have been elevated for a while. Also, I have had gastro problems for the past 6 months non stop and now they think it could be related. I have pale colored stools there for awhile, so sick to my stomach with pain and dizziness during those episodes I didn't know what to do. I had a colonoscopy, negative minus some polyps they found. I have had a cystoscopy because I am urinating alot. I have gained a lot of weight for no reason. Just a bunch of things. So then I went and had 15 viles of blood drawn and they want to see me back every month now... What is going on? Could it be liver damage, and if so what kind? It runs in my family, but I am only 22. Any help or suggestions?

The liver enzymes being higher and the pale colored stool is what has caught my eye.
Let me explain why...
When our red blood cells die, the spleen takes them and it is converted into a substance known as bilirubin. This bilirubin is transported to the liver on a protein, known as albumin. It is then converted into a soluble form that combines with the bile and flows from the liver to the gallbladder or the intestines to help in the digestion of the fats we eat. This bile flows from the inside of the
liver through tube like structures, known as ducts,
to the intestines. Bilirubin is the substance that
gives color to our bowel movements. If the
bile is not flowing well to the intestines because
of a gallstone going out into the bile ducts, or
the bile ducts become malformed or twisted and
strictured....then the stool can turn a pale and
clay like color and may even float on top of the
water. If these bile ducts are in anyway blocked,
the bile will back up into the liver and can cause
damage to some of the liver cells which would
raise the levels of the liver enzymes. These
enzymes are found inside the liver cells, when
they are damaged, they are released into the blood and show as a higher level when our blood
is tested.

skin or inside your mouth mucous membrances?
You can see this best in outside natural light, than
indoors where it can be masked. If the bile is
backing up into the liver, then the bilirubin may
go out into the blood in a larger amount and you
will see this yellowing....known as Jaundice.
If you are urinating alot, it may be because of
your sugar levels being high. If there is bilirubin
higher in your blood, you may see your urine turn
darker in color. The fact that you say you are
urinating more, may not show such a change in
color unless it becomes real dark. This happens
because the kidneys are filtering the blood and
filtering out the bilirubin also.

This is only a guess as to what may be happening
with you. I hope they find out soon what it is and
that you will be able to receive treatment for it.
If this is a stone, they can do a procedure known
as a ERCP and remove it. If it is an infection
or inflammation...they can give you medications
to reduce this.

Usually, if someone has liver problems, they
start out with blood work and then move to
a Ultrasound and then a CT scan or MRI.
The Liver biopsy is the best test to be done
to determine how far advanced the liver disease is.
