Diet For Hemorrhoids | Prevent Constipation To Cure Hemorrhoids

Among all the different causes that leads to hemorrhoids, constipation is probably the major cause and one that causes hemorrhoids to happen over and over again. Constipation occurs when there is too little bowel movement and the stool is not excreted as often as it should be. Because the stool is kept for a longer period of time in the rectum, whatever extra moisture is reabsorbed by the body which causes it to harden even more. The hard stool will then require extra straining in order to be removed from the body. This over straining increases the pressure to the rectal veins which will eventually cause them to swell. At the same time, the hard stool will rub roughly against the anal walls, weakening it more. It is all these factors that will soon lead to a hemorrhoid.

Constipation can happen from a number of reasons but the two main causes for constipation is dehydration and lack of fiber in the diet.

Dehydration prevents the body from releasing any extra moisture in the stool, causing it to be hard and rough. In order to be properly hydrated, drink lots of water each day and eat juicy fruits. Avoid too much salt as will increase the dehydration in the body. Also avoid drinking alcohol as this too will cause your body to be dehydrated.

Another reason for the stool to be dry and hard is keeping it for an extended period of time inside the rectum, allowing extra time for the body to reabosrb back the extra moisture in the stool. The best way to ensure that constipation does not happen is to go when you have to and not to put off nature''s call.

A diet rich in fiber is the ultimate way to prevent constipation. It is extremely easy to increase your fiber consumption. All it takes is to gradually increase the amount of fruit, vegetables and whole grains that you consume each day. But when increasing your fiber intake, remember to also drink lots of water because taking too little water will make your constipation worst.

Some of the rich sources of fiber include:

1. Whole-grain foods (such as bran cereals) and breads (made with whole wheat grains).

2. Fresh fruits (including the skin and pulp).

3. Dried or stewed fruits (for example prunes, raisins or apricots).

4. Root vegetables (such as carrots, turnips and potatoes).

5. Raw or fresh vegetables, such as cabbage. (Lettuce is actually low in fiber.)

Lastly, exercise is also the key to preventing constipation. A good cardio-vascular exercise will help to stimulate bowel movement. This will encourage your body to remove the stool more often, therefore ensuring that it is always soft and will not cause over straining.

Preventing constipation is a key essential to your search for a permanent cure for hemorrhoids. Through a proper hemorrhoids diet and enough, your bowel movements will be frequent and healthy and you will be well on your way to a quick hemorrhoids cure.

Explore The Thrombosed External Hemorrhoid And Discover The Cure

Have you ever had hemorrhoids? Have you ever known someone to have hemorrhoids. Well, needless to say it's a condition that rears its head when causing pain. However, while people are unaware of the problem they have, the emotional consequences can cause big inconveniances. Becoming stressed, anxious and nervous are regular emotional reactions when people see blood down the lavatory but feel no pain otherwise. And afraid of being told some 'shocking news.'

So what exactly is a thrombosed external hemorrhoid?

Thrombosed external hemorrhoids are blood clots that result in instant, intense pain. Take the practical steps early on, though, and you won't have to worry about the severe pain

Hemorrhoids give you a feeling of itching, burning, bruising, constipation and ordinary uncomfortableness. But early on they usually aren't very painful. If you are in a high level of pain, it's important to consider that you have had a blood clot as you'll need to see a doctor as fast as you can.

"Is my health in danger?"

Think you may have a blood clot? Relax, the best action you can take at this point is to do the following. Arrange an consultation with your Physician at the next available time. As always, it's recommended that you see your doctor as fast as possible. (Within 48 hours, so the disease doesn't grow more severe) Do this, and you'll recover from piles in no time. Then I invite you to explore the other articles on my website to identify tactics that ensure you remain healthy there-on.

How to cure a thrombosed external hemorrhoid

Underneath here I have developed for you, a table stating the most common ways to cure the severe case of thrombosis.

Solution/ Information

Rubber Band Litigation: Over the period of 2/ 3 weeks the acccess of blood to the hemorrhoidal section of the vein is stopped, resulting in shrinkage of the hemorrhoid.

Sclerotherapy: The injection of an agent into the hemorrhoid prevents the flow of blood resulting, as earlier, in shrinkage.

Cryotherapy: As with the other remedies bloodflow is stopped through the hemorrhoid, this time using very cold temperatures (liquid nitrogen generally). The goal is to eradicate diseased tissue.

Infrared coagulation: More recently infrared light has been gaining in popularity. Electric flow burns the hemorrhoid off with a chemical reaction. The resulting scar tissue positions other nearby veins so they don't reveal themselves in the anal canal.

Hemorrhoidectomy: This approach causes the most discomfort but it also creates the most long-term change in your body.

How to steer clear of a Blood Clot

Eating Habits

No matter what your situation in life, diet is critical to the level of your health, happiness and comfort. Having said that, if you have piles your diet should be the first thing you alter.

Get in the routine of eating a highly fibrous diet. Underneath, I have written 20 fruits and vegetables that will get you started on the path to great health, and free of piles. Buy atleast 5 of these foods next time you go shopping, you won't regret it:

Veggies:

-- Rhubarb

-- Peppers

-- Baked Potato (including skin)

-- Black-Eyed Peas

-- Cabbage

-- Carrots

-- Lima Beans

-- Green beans

-- Cooked Sweetcorn

-- Mushrooms

Fruit:

-- Apples

-- Avocado

-- Bananas

-- Raspberries

-- Dried Apricots

-- Blackberries

-- Prunes

-- Oranges

-- Guava Fruit

-- Kiwi

get the pump on:

Yes, exercise isn't necessarily fun, it's true. Countless people see it as a painful 'exercise' in discomfort. As I lie down on the sofa I start seeing people sprinting past past me - one after the other, trampling on both my well being and self esteem. Fear is the most influential emotion we experience, our instincts are just trying to keep us safe. But in this day and age they do us a disservice rather than save our lives.

The key is to identify physical activities that you enjoy for what they are, and completely forget about the whole concept of 'exercise'. Let it be the side effect of doing what you enjoy. If you enjoy watching tv condition yourself to ONLY be entitled to watch tv if you are exercising.

That example is especially powerful because over time you will begin to associate exercise to watching movies or a tv program – this lazy past time becomes the incentive to staying fit!

Another suggestion is to have mini breaks throughout your workday instead of working right through until lunch. Not only is this great for blood flow, but it's also better for your concentration.

Experiments have concluded that human-beings can only stay concentrated on a task for 40 minutes at most. My own work life involves a lot of time behind the monitor so I have developed a system of working for 45 minutes and then taking a quick 15 minute break for active tasks such as dog walking and making a cup of tea.

If you have had piles you probably know that it can be a very painful condition. But they don't always have to get to the level where they cause you discomfort But it's crucial to know that the effects aren't just physical, they are emotional as well. People are anxious to find out why they were bleeding in their lavatory or why they suffer with periods of intense scratching.

So what precisely is a thrombosed external hemorrhoid?

Thrombosed external hemorrhoids are blood clots that result in sudden, acute pain. Take action early on and you won't hurt as much.

Hemorrhoids give the feeling of itchiness, burning, bruising, constipation and general uncomfortableness. I want to stress though, that hemorrhoids are most often painless during the former stages. If you are in a high level of irritation, it's important to consider that you have had a blood clot as you'll need to see a doctor as fast as you can.

"What can I do next?"

If you are now considering to yourself that you may have a blood clot just take the following step here. Just ring your doctor and arrange an appointment, ideally within 48 hours because the illness (and pain) will intensify beyond that point in time. By taking this advice you'll remedy yourself before you can say 'hemorrhoids!"

How to rectify a thrombosed external hemorrhoid

Underneath this paragraph, you'll see methods of surgery to repair a blood clot. While I recommend you include a lot more fiber in your diet and exercise day in day out, at the point of thrombosis a more drastic (fixative) solution is required:

Solution/ Notes

Rubber Band Litigation: Over the period of 2/ 3 weeks the flow of blood to the hemorrhoidal section of the varicose vein is stopped, resulting in shrinkage of the hemorrhoid.

Sclerotherapy: A water-based or foam solidifying agent is injected into the varicose vein to seal off blood flow, allowing the vein to shrink.

Cryotherapy: As with the other treatments bloodflow is stopped through the hemorrhoid, this time using very cold temperatures (liquid nitrogen generally). Getting rid of unhealthy tissue is the aim here.

Infrared coagulation: With recent advancements in medical science infrared light has become more popular. An electric current is used to burn off the vein through chemical reaction

Hemorrhoidectomy: This is the most drastic solution for hemorrhoids. It should really only be considered if your doctor believes your condition is serious enough.

How to steer clear of a Blood Clot

What You Consume

When it comes down to it, your diet is what measures your level of health. Other factors come into it, but without a good diet you will never be healthy. However, if you are suffering from hemorrhoids your diet is all the more key

"Many people suffer with hemorrhoids simply because they don't eat enough fiber"

"Fiber is your friend" - not much of an alliteration but an essential point is made ;) Underneath here I have given you some ideas on what to add to your daily diet. Please make a promise with me now, buy at the very least 5 of these foods each and every time you go shopping - write them on the list now!

Veggies:

-- Avocado

-- Beans

-- Broccoli

-- Black-Eyed Peas

-- Cabbage

-- Carrots

-- Lima Beans

-- Green beans

-- Spinach

-- Artichoke

Fruits:

-- Figs

-- Raisins

-- Bananas

-- Raspberries

-- Dates

-- Pears

-- Prunes

-- Lemons

-- Guava Fruit

-- Kiwi Fruit

exercise:

Yes, exercise isn't necessarily fun, it's true. Countless people see it as a painful 'exercise' in discomfort. We see pictures of long distance jogging and the horrendous gym apparatus. Exercise, however, can be terrifically fun and very rewarding. You've just got to reframe what exercise means to you.

Once you find a sport you enjoy, exercise becomes a side effect of passing the time – squash, swimming, walking, even table tennis, it's all better than sitting down. If you enjoy watching tv condition yourself to ONLY be entitled to watch tv if you are working out.

This has proved successful with people because a lazy habit now becomes the grounds for exercise!

Another idea is to have mini breaks throughout your working day instead of continually working right through until lunch. While this is great for blood flow it's also been known to increase your focus and thus the results you get from work.

Experiments have concluded that human-beings can only stay concentrated on a task for 40 minutes at most. As I work on the computer quite a lot I have evolved an approach to staying healthy whilst sitting down a lot. I work as hard as I can for 45 minutes - blocking out all sidetrackers like email - and follow it with a 15 minute break. A lot of mobile phones these days have timer facilities, does yours? Good luck

Plant Medicine for Hemorrhoids Prevents Painful Treatment

Although many patients and clinicians believe that hemorrhoids are caused by chronic constipation, prolonged sitting, and vigorous straining, little evidence to support a causative link exists. Other risk factors historically associated with the development of hemorrhoids include the following: pregnancy, lack of erect posture, familial tendency, higher socioeconomic status, chronic diarrhea, colon malignancy, hepatic disease, obesity, elevated anal resting pressure, spinal cord injury, loss of rectal muscle tone, rectal surgery, episiotomy, anal intercourse, and so on.

Varicosities caused from portal hypertension are a distinct entity from hemorrhoids. Anemia due to hemorrhoidal bleeding is possible, albeit rare, and its presence should raise suspicion of an alternate diagnosis. Proctogram may be indicated in rectal prolapse. Proctoscopy may be performed to supplement anoscopy. Full evaluation of the large bowel with colonoscopy is recommended for patients with significant abdominal symptoms, weight loss, change in bowel habits, age older than fifty years, or other risk factors for colonic malignancy.

Most hemorrhoids resolve spontaneously or with conservative medical therapy alone. Along with over-the-counter topical agents, there are several modalities at the disposal of physicians to treat piles. However, many of these modalities can be distressing for the patient. Conservative medical hemorrhoids treatment methods include changes in diet, lifestyle changes, and hydrotherapy which require a high degree of patient compliance to be effective. When conservative hemorrhoid therapy is ineffective, many doctors turn to other methods for treatment of hemorrhoids.

These include manual dilation of the anus, cryotherapy, bipolar diathermy, and other procedures. After excision of a thrombosed external hemorrhoid, the patient may be discharged home for several hours of bedrest followed by sitz baths tid, stool softeners, and topical or systemic analgesia. The patient should return in forty eight to seventy two hours for a wound check. All other patients should be referred to a surgical or rectal clinic for more definitive treatment and sent home with conservative medical therapy.

These non-surgical treatments demand specialized equipment and training. They carry risks: if such treatment fails, then expensive surgery will become a necessity. Recurrence rate with nonsurgical techniques is ten to fifty percent over a five-year period, while that of surgical hemorrhoidectomy is approximately twenty six percent. Application of plant medicine is a method able to prevent time-consuming, painful, and expensive medical treatment for hemorrhoids. Scientists truly have taken great efforts in the development of this hemorrhoids treatment.

After years of exacting the most precise formulations and materials, these deliver the goods and then some. Over the years, scientists have analyzed thousands of medicinal plant substances finding and blending those which exhibit maximum therapeutic activity without causing adverse effects in order to create the optimum remedies for specific human ailments. Their research includes both extracts and pure compounds from herbal medicines as reported in laboratory studies. Recently, people begin to train their eyes to natural medicine.

Due to factors such as climate, environment, society, economy, diet and so on, spectrum of disease has changed a lot. Functional disorders of immune system, environmental diseases, tumor, drug induced diseases, injury, excess nutrient or nutritional diseases and senile diseases increase greatly, meaning that diseases changed from treatment types to prevention types. Existing chemicals cannot fully meet the need of the community. Modern chemical drugs have poor efficacy or side effects and drug resistance of some drugs become more and more serious.

The role of herbal compounds used in traditional medicine has also been thoroughly investigated and incorporated into this treatment. Scientists have identified a significant number of naturally occurring small molecules, including phenolics, polyphenols, terpenes, and flavonoids which have incredible systemic action, used medicinally to treat venous insufficiency, and heavily concentrated in plant medicine. Plant medicine provides an immediate and direct therapeutic result to rapidly and safely eliminate hemorrhoids. To learn more, please go to http://www.naturespharma.org.

Hemorrhoids Treatment – Cure & Prevention

Hemorrhoids can be one of the most irritating, painful, and inconvenient health problems there is, especially when you're trying to go about your everyday activities, interacting with people, and trying to appear happy. If only they knew what you were going through! Although a quick fix is the first thing that comes to most hemorrhoid sufferers' minds, the best hemorrhoids treatments address multiple issues at the same time.

Ouch

If you thought the pain and discomfort were bad enough, imagine having rubber bands placed around a hemorrhoid, or the frozen tip of a cryoprobe placed on your hemorrhoid. OK, so that last one is rarely used these days, due to side effects, but some people actually undergo surgery to completely remove their hemorrhoids and report that the pain during recovery can be severe.

With rubber band ligation, elastic bands are placed around the hemorrhoid, and it simply shrivels up and falls off after several days. That simple explanation doesn't make the procedure any more pleasant, however.

Electrical current, lasers, and even injecting hemorrhoids with chemicals to cause them to shrivel up have all been used to treat piles, but any sort of invasive or surgical procedure like this should only be used at the advice of a physician (or two). There actually may be some correlation between a hemorrhoidectomy (removal of hemorrhoids) and incontinence (difficulty controlling waste excretion) later in life.

Aaahh

There are a number of immediate hemorrhoids treatments that will reduce pain and swelling - and even bleeding - quickly. The easiest one of these is just ice. That's right - ice (from water, not some kind of secret chemical). Whether you use chips or an ice pack externally, ice can help shrink swelling and make your hemorrhoids feel much better - temporarily. You might want to have a towel or some adult diapers on hand, too, since this is kind of a wet treatment.

To prevent your hemorrhoids from returning, your best bet is to get more fiber (with plenty of water) into your diet, along with some exercise, and possibly cutting back on caffeine, alcohol, and cigarettes. Oh, and if you're overweight, this should also give you some good motivation to lose a few pounds.

If you want something faster than ice to help your hemorrhoids, look for an astringent - like witch hazel - that will help shrink tissues and reduce swelling. That's what the hospitals use. There are also a number of very effective, natural, traditional Chinese remedies that have worked wonders for people.
