External haemorrhoids and pain ?

I had piles when I was pregnant 6 years ago briefly then a couple of times since for no apparant reason. But now I have got severe external ones. They are really painful and I feel like I have pressure in my back passage and in my girly bits...like the pressure when giving birth ! I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago so def not a baby lol. I have lower abdo pain as well as this pressure and pain. What would cause this and what can I do to help it? I'm still in my 20's....and way to embarrased to see gp...have been using pile cream to no avail !!

Thanks x
not constipated at all. Thats why its all so wierd.

I get this too, last time I did I went to the pharmacy and was seriously grilled, very embarrassing lol Any way she told me to eat more fruit and veg and have something like weetabix for breakfast with a banana, and it worked. Abdo pain could be from constipation? I find the cream doesnt help either just makes other areas sore. You can get tablets to make it softer as well, they really help, if you are in uk get dulcoease.

Somebody help me please!!!!!?

Hi there,
About a year and a half ago, I was experiencing stomach pain and was given a colonoscopy. The doctor took a biopsy, yet everything turned out clean- except hemorrhoids which I knew I had. Recently, about 4 months ago, I noticed that I had a litte growth on my anal canal wall. To describe it, it feels like an internal skin tag and is soft. It is quite small and painless and feels nothing like a hemorrhoid. I became concerned and asked two separate family doctors what they thought. Both said they felt nothing out of the ordinary. Yet last week, I visited a physician's assistant and was told to see a GI, because she said she felt "something." I am only 21 years old and was interested if this could possibly be cancer? If not, could it be a wart? I had all 3 Gardasil shots so should I rule out genital warts? What could this be? I am scheduled to see my GI next month but in the mean time, I would like to know what it may be?

It could be a cyst.
They can grow and shrink repeatedly. I have had this happen.

Don't rule anything out, but don't worry needlessly.

Some people are prone to stress which causes the GI tract to flare in any number of ways.

Be calm, and just keep asking questions.
If they don't think it's serious, then relax and get on with your life.

Thrombosed Hemorrhoid Treatment - How Can I Ease The Pain?

Hemorrhoids affect upwards of 40% of the population.  Hemorrhoids can either be internal or external.  Internal hemorrhoids tend to be pretty painless.  In fact you can have them for years and not even know it unless you notice blood in your stool or on a tissue after wiping.  On the flip side, external hemorrhoids are located on the exterior of the rectum and you almost always know they are there because they cause a lot of itching and irritation.  It is also possible for blood clots to form inside the veins, which in turn cut off the blood supply and cause tremendous pain.

A hemorrhoid that develops a blood clot is known as a thrombosed hemorrhoid.  If you get one you will know you have it because they are normally lumpy, hard, purplish in color and extremely painful.

In some cases the pain from a thrombosed external hemorrhoid can be so painful that you have difficulty walking or sitting.  If this is the case obtain medical help immediately.  Otherwise, there are some home remedies that work well for thrombosed hemorrhoid treatment; such as:

Warm Baths  - Sitting in a tub of warm water for 15 to 20 minutes will help reduce the size of the hemorrhoid and provide some relief from the itching and burning.  For optimal results take 3 to 4 warm sitz baths each day.

Clean the Area Thoroughly - It is important to keep the area clean and dry to promote the healing process.  After each bowel movement be sure to clean the area with warm water or  moist cloth.  Doing this will prevent further irritation and inflammation.  It will also help the hemorrhoid heal quicker.

Aleve - Aleve is an anti-inflammatory medicine that will help reduce the hemorrhoid and provide temporary pain relief.

Ice - The coldness of the ice instantly gets rid of the burning, itching and irritation.  Apply as frequently as needed.

If a few days pass and your situation does not improve at all using these treatments, you should call your physician.  It may be necessary for them to drain the blood clot.  This is a very successful thrombosed hemorrhoid treatment and will offer immediate pain relief.

The quickest and most effective thrombosed hemorrhoid treatment is removing the blood clot.  This provides immediate pain relief.   Do not attempt this at home.  It may not look hard but if done wrong can cause a great deal of trauma, hence why it should only be done by a medical professional.   You should also know that while draining the clot will bring immediate relief, it does not mean that the hemorrhoid can not reoccur.
