Hemorrhoidal Tissue

embarrassing question...?
So I think I have hemorrhoids. There's a little swelling or bump or something on my anus that really hurts when I defecate. It's fine at all other times & I don't even notice it, but it hurts a LOT when I poop. Also, I notice some blood in the toilet and tissue paper. I will see my doc after a few days if it continues, but in the meanwhile, what should I do? I was trying to buy a hemorrhoidal cream but there were so many options, I didn't know what go get! I ended up buying the Tucks (formerly Anusol) ointment and getting Prune Juice and eating some fruit. Does that sound right or should I get something else instead of the Tucks? Is it a good idea to drink prune juice to help with this? I am looking for something that will make the swelling go away in addition to make it easier to go to the bathroom. I don't have a clue about this stuff so please help out. Also, please be SPECIFIC in your answers because if you say get Prep H, there are still like 8 dif kinds! Thanks.
Gosh, slow down. Yes you probably have hemorrhoids. And yes you are doing the right thing. You will be fine until you see the doctor. If you are really worried about the array of over the counter products speak to the pharmacist. Most of the products are all the same. Please don't stress. Ask your pharmacist.
